Todd Woodbridge Cup Tennis

On Tuesday 12 September, TIGS took part in the inaugural Todd Woodbridge Cup, held at Beaton Park Tennis Centre. This tournament is a modified competition catering for tennis players in Year 3 and Year 4.

TIGS entered two teams of 8, and the students produced some wonderful tennis. Their adaptable skills allowed them to adjust to the smaller courts, and this in turn produced some excellent results.

Team 1, placed 1st at zone and Team 2 placed 3rd.

Team 1, will now move onto the regional stage to be played in Ulludulla next term.

This new modified tournament gave students in Stage 2 a wonderful opportunity to play tennis, and it was great to see everybody learning and enjoying this great game.

Well done to the two TIGS teams for their wonderful performances and sportsmanship throughout the day.
