Moon Festival at TIGS

The Moon Festival is one of the most important holiday celebrations in Chinese culture. The festival coincides with the brightest full moon and the start of the harvest period, celebrating rejuvenation and prosperity.  

Our Senior School language and international students gathered this week to learn about how the Moon Festival is celebrated in China and enjoy some of the traditional food and festivities. Students prepared and cooked a Chinese barbecue and decorated the language classrooms with lanterns and traditional decorations.
