Premier’s Reading Challenge

Congratulations to the 108 students who have completed the Premier’s Reading Challenge for 2020. We look forward to presenting you with your certificates at the end of Term IV.

Book Week Dress-Up Day

The Book Week Dress-Up Day will take place on Friday 23 October (Term IV Week 2). The students and staff are very sorry that due to the restrictions placed on visitors to the School at this time that we are unable to invite our families and community to join us for this exciting and happy event due to the COVID restrictions. The Book Week Costume Day is a celebratory occasion for each of us to show our love of books, reading and story characters through costume so please choose a costume that reflects this value. Alternatively, students can consider dressing up in the Book Week theme which this year is, ‘Curious Creatures. Wild Minds’.

2020 Book Week Author visits

We are very excited to have two award-winning authors to help us celebrate Book Week. Jack Heath and Tristan Bancks will visit with our students to discuss their love of reading and writing.

Based on current restrictions due to COVID-19:

  • Jack Heath will be holding sessions for Year 4 to Year 6 and selected Senior School students on Wednesday 14 October.
  • Tristan Bancks will be holding sessions for Year 1 to Year 3 and selected Senior School students on Friday 23 October.
  • Please bring any personal copies you have of these authors’ works to be signed at the conclusion of the sessions.
  • As the situation in the community is ever-changing, we may need to make further changes to these arrangements as required.
