In memoriam – Ms Monica Watt

School communities are hugely impacted by those who came before us. One such servant of TIGS was Ms Monica Watt. It is with great sadness we share the news with our community that Monica passed away late last week surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
While slight in stature, Monica exerted a giant influence at TIGS for 42 years. She was a consummate educator, a mentor and friend to many. Numerous current leaders in education, both in the Illawarra and further afield, pursued educational leadership as a result of her encouragement and support.
We give thanks for Monica’s commitment to our School and the way she has shaped the future of so many and we offer our heartfelt condolences to her family and those who loved her.
