Terrific Term II

June 16, 2023
Mrs Judi Nealy - Principal

This is the last newsletter in an exceptionally busy and productive term. I have been delighted to meet with many parents as they have attended various events and meetings and to enjoy the amazing talent of our students on display in so many ways.

Some highlights this term include Mothers Day Breakfast in the Junior School, Year 12 Trivia night, Athletics Carnivals, music concerts, parent-teacher interviews and information evenings and of course the School Production of The Sound of Music. We also had students representing our school at various competitions in The Arts, Sport and Academic competitions and amongst all of this activity, learning continued to flourish in our classrooms.

While many of our students and staff will look to the holidays for a well-earnt rest, for some the holidays are still busy – with students and staff travelling to Nganambala in the NT, New Caledonia and also to Japan during the mid-year break. I am sure these experiences will be valuable for all involved and look forward to hearing their stories next term.

Thank you to our students for another great term of learning and community at TIGS, you are a daily source of joy. Thank you to our staff for their never-ending effort and concern for the young people in their care, you are the most precious resource that our school has and are very appreciated.

Thank you also to our parents and guardians who entrust your children to our school each day. I hope each of you has a time of refreshment and rest over the break and I look forward to welcoming you all back to school for another busy Term III.
