Junior School News: Harmony Week & Assembly

March 27, 2024
Ms Geneva Clayton - Head of Junior School

Harmony Week was celebrated across the Junior School last week. Harmony Week recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. It is about inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging for everyone. Students celebrated their cultures through a range of activities including a collaborative artwork, the opportunity to dress in traditional cultural dress, and daily lunchtime music and dancing. Our community does represent the world and it was wonderful that we could add a splash of orange on Thursday as a reminder of our beautiful diverse community.

Student Initiatives

It is always a proud moment to acknowledge the efforts of our students. Ethan Murray, 5R, is raising money for Camp Quality. Camp Quality is an Australian children’s charity that has been improving the quality of life for children facing cancer for over 40 years. It helps children and their families through these difficult times. Ethan has a goal to ride his bike for 200 kms this month and is participating in the ‘Big Ride’ fundraiser. This will be a great achievement. If you would like to make a donation, please visit this link.
