Available Scholarships

Students who have a demonstrated track record of outstanding results are encouraged to apply for our highly competitive Academic Scholarships. Academic Scholarships are awarded to students of high academic ability on the basis of academic merit, as demonstrated in the scholarship examination and an interview. Applicants are also required to submit an academic portfolio demonstrating accomplishments, a commitment to learning, and involvement in school activities.

Scholarships in The Arts are offered to students entering Year 7 to Year 11. All applicants will be required to sit the scholarship test. Shortlisted applicants will be auditioned and interviewed. Arts Scholarships are offered to students with a proven high-level ability in music or drama and who will be able to contribute to the School’s strong performing arts tradition.

General Excellence Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate significant experience and achievement in areas such as Sport, Public Speaking, Leadership, School or Community Involvement, and who will be able to contribute to the School in these areas.

One Indigenous scholarship is awarded each year to a student of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background for entry into Year 5 to Year 11. Applicants are required to sit the scholarship test, attend an interview and submit a portfolio demonstrating ongoing commitment and achievement. Only external applicants will be considered.

Junior School Scholarships are awarded to students with a proven high level of achievement across multiple areas. Applicants must sit the scholarship examination and provide a portfolio demonstrating ongoing commitment and achievement. Junior School Scholarships are awarded to students entering Year 5 or Year 6.

Means-tested scholarships are awarded each year to students entering Year 7 to Year 11. Applicants are required to sit the scholarship test and provide a Statement of Financial Position. Only external applicants will be considered.

TIGS Foundation’s Rev. Richard Bosanquet Scholarship is awarded to a student eligible for enrolment into Year 7 in 2024 at TIGS on the basis of academic merit, as demonstrated in the scholarship examination, an interview and quality of the portfolio.
Rev. Richard Bosanquet Scholarship is means-tested. A Financial Position Statement must be submitted with the application. The Scholarship is tenable until Year 12, subject to annual review. Only external applicants will be considered.

The Liney Family Scholarship is awarded to a student entering Year 11 with a demonstrated musical ability and contributes to the annual cost of private music tuition. The student must be enrolled in Music 1 or Music 2.

The TIGS Foundation Pathways Scholarship is awarded for Year 11 and Year 12 and is open to new students commencing at TIGS. The scholarship will be offered in the area of Humanities for 2024-25 and is means-tested.
