How do I place my child's name on your wait list?
Places are available in certain Year Groups from Pre-Prep to Year 12, however, we advise that you contact firstname.lastname@example.org to enquire about current availabilities. The School accepts applications year-round. To ensure the likelihood of securing a place, please submit an application as soon as possible.
What are the school fees and when are they payable?
Choosing The Illawarra Grammar School means that you are investing in a rigorous education where your child will be supported in a Christian caring environment to achieve their best. Choosing the right school is an incredibly important decision, so we provide a fee calculator to assist with this process.
Fees are billed according to your individual instalment/payment plan and must be paid in full by the due date of the final instalment. For more information on School Fees, visit our fee calculator.
Does the school offer scholarships and what is the process?
The Illawarra Grammar School offers scholarships for high achieving students across the Arts, Academic and General Excellence from Year 5 to Year 11. Scholarships are open to current TIGS students and external students and they can apply for more than one scholarship. Applicants for scholarships are required to complete a TIGS Scholarship application form and sit a test for Scholarship Entry. Results from the scholarship test are reviewed and shortlisted applicants are invited to attend an interview at the School. For more information about how to apply and scholarship intake dates click below.
When should I enrol my child to attend TIGS?
The School accepts applications for enrolment all year round. As we are receiving increased interest for places at TIGS, we recommend that you submit an application as soon as possible. Once we have received your application you will be recorded as an applicant on our Enrolment Register.
What about transport to and from the school?
At TIGS, we want to ensure that the School is safely accessible to all students and community members. The school has two entrances for student pick-up and drop-off. Our drop-off point for Senior School students is at the end of Powell Street and the southbound Princes Highway entrance services TIGS Prep and Junior School. To streamline pick-up and drop-off, we provide a Car Line service for students in Kindergarten to Year 6. Our staff assist children to get in and out of their vehicle safely while the driver stays in the car. The School operates a fleet of mini-buses that service the region from Austinmer to Nowra for a separate charge. Public transport including buses and trains is also available. For more information on transport options visit our Student Life page.
