Illawarra Grammar Senior School music ensembles performed at the Australian School Band and Orchestra Festival (ASBOF) for the first time over the weekend at UNSW. The day was filled with excellent music and courageous performances, with one adjudicator making specific mention of how engaged and dedicated our students were in producing artistic performances. We were fortunate to receive outstanding results:

• Senior String Ensemble directed by Mr Clinton Lau – Silver Award
• Jazz Ensemble directed by Mr Duncan Brown – Silver Award
• Symphony Orchestra conducted by Mr Paul Vickers – Silver Award
• Concert Band conducted by Ms Rowena Harris – Gold Award

We extend our thanks to the expert adjudicators for their constructive feedback and look forward to our students benefitting from performances at this exceptional festival into the future.
