Illawarra Grammar is celebrating exceptional wins in the pool, with both our Senior and Junior School teams claiming the title of Champion School at their respective 2026 CASA Swimming Championships at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.

On 24 February, our Junior School swimmers opened the meet with a commanding mixed‑relay victory, before going on to secure three of the five relay events. Five students placed in the top three of their age groups, and seventeen swimmers qualified for the CIS Championships on 25 March. Their teamwork, consistency and determination shone throughout the evening.

At the Secondary Carnival on 26 February, our swimmers delivered a dominant all‑round performance, finishing almost 500 points ahead of the nearest school. The day featured strong individual and relay results, highlighted by the All Age Girls Relay Team — Lucy Lidbetter, Olivia Talbot, Zali‑Rose McIlwraith, Matilda Vermey, Angelina Dghaich and London Campbell — who won their event and came within 0.04 seconds of a championship record. Their commitment, sportsmanship and support for one another were evident from start to finish.
