Sammy progressed all the way through to Round 5 of the competition, after winning his first four heats. As Australian team captain, he was an outstanding ambassador for his country and led the team with passion and determination. Sammy’s efforts and achievements over the last week shows that he has a big future in competitive surfing ahead of him, and we look forward to following his journey in the years to come.
