Year 8 Geography excursion to Minnamurra Rainforest

November 25, 2022

As part of the Year 8 Geography course, students learn about different landscapes and landforms. This topic allows students to discuss management of places and environment for their sustainability. The field trip to Minnamurra Rainforest provided students with the opportunity to observe and record the diversity of landscapes and landforms, and participate in fieldwork data collection using a range of geographical techniques. They were able to see first hand the interaction between the physical and human elements of the rainforest and understand why and how rainforest issues are managed.
