Kindergarten Orientation

We offer an extensive orientation programme to support each child’s transition to school life at TIGS. Over the past three weeks, parents and families have joined us for an information session that outlined the practical information on how to best prepare their child for starting in the Junior School. We welcomed our 2024 Kindergarten students to spend time in the Kindergarten classrooms. 

Sixty students visited once a week in the mornings. They listened to stories and participated in the type of activities they will experience at the beginning of Kindergarten. Students worked in small groups alongside their future classmates. They explored the learning spaces, amenities, and play areas to become familiar with the layout of the school. Students met new friends and many of the staff that will support them next year.

Kindergarten orientation provides the opportunity for students to connect and feel safe and secure as they take the exciting step of starting Kindergarten.

Our 2024 Kindergarten students have already impressed us during their visits and we look forward to their start next school year.
