Our Year 6 students have had a fun time training to be Friend-O-Leaders in the playground. They have been very keen to begin this new initiative which has a dual purpose. Year 6 students are applying their knowledge of the URSTRONG friendship values in a leadership capacity and our younger students will have the support of their older peers in their friendships. They will have lanyards with tips and strategies from the Friendology Program including:
- The 4 Friendship Facts
- The Friend-O-Meter
- Putting out Friendship Fires
- Using Quick Comebacks to respond to Mean-On-Purpose behaviour.
I would like to congratulate our Year 6 students on a terrific start to our Friend-O-Leaders initiative.
