The Illawarra Grammar School is a co-educational Anglican School located in the Illawarra, catering for students in Preparatory to Year 12. About the Roles

The School is seeking two temporary, part-time Early Childhood Educators (Cert III) to join our TIGS Prep team in 2026.

Position 1 – Term time

  • Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 2.30pm

Position 2 – All Year Round

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
  • Alternating roster –  7.30am to 3.30pm (Week A)  |  9.30am to 5.30pm (Week B)

Key requirements

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent (or actively working towards) – recognised by ACECQA.
  • A current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012) with Asthma & Anaphylaxis training.
  • NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Have previous experience working in an early years education workplace

Our students are known for their manners and respect, which allows teachers to concentrate on effective pedagogy rather than spending time on discipline issues. Class sizes are capped at 20 in Pre-K and Kindergarten, and at 24 from Year 1 onwards.
