Cross Country Carnival

May 20, 2022

While the temperature has been dropping in the last few weeks, the sun shone brightly on Tuesday and our long awaited Cross Country Carnival finally had a course with dry ground. The day started with our Junior School students waiting patiently for their age groups to be called up to the starting line. House chants could be heard as their young leaders rallied as much House spirit as they could.

Group by group they launched excitedly at the sound of the starting siren, racing around the course, the dedication evident when one after another they could be seen tearing out of Puckeys Estate and sprinting past their cheering friends towards the finish line.

Elias Ainbinder Satne (Year 5) said it was great to be able to run out in such a scenic spot.

After lunch the Senior School students arrived, the loud chants and bright House colours continuing to amplify the atmosphere of a beautiful Autumn afternoon. With staff already set up throughout the course they were able to jump straight into racing, much like the younger students before them, the dedication (and blistering speed) was clear as some students hit the return leg as others were still entering Puckeys Estate.

At the end of the day Coligan was the House winner for both Junior School and Senior School. Congratulations to Coligan House!
