NASSA Touch Football
Both the Boys and Girls Touch Football teams had a very successful tournament at the NASSA Gala Day finishing 2nd overall, one point off the winning teams. The players displayed strong game understanding, teamwork and tremendous growth throughout the day. Defensively they were well organised making it difficult for the opposition to penetrate. Both teams continually developed their skills in attack which in turn gave them the confidence to put their practised plays into action scoring many tries and team wins.
Pleasingly five students: Jamie, Alexander, Matilda, Lucia, and Evelyn were selected to represent NASSA at the CIS Touch Football Trials.
Isabelle was named as Shadow player.
Congratulations to all team members for their efforts and fabulous performance!

NASSA Cross Country
A team of 62 competitors competed at the NASSA Carnival held at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre. TIGS finished second overall to St Luke’s Grammar with many wonderful individual performances.
Team members have consistently committed to attending and working very hard at the morning Cross Country training or actively implemented their own fitness programs and subsequently were pleasingly rewarded for their efforts and application to improve their fitness. This was evident by many personal best achievements and self-satisfaction on the day. It was equally pleasing to see age group competitors supporting one another and encouraging teammates when feeling fatigued.
In the spirit of the 12 years competitors ‘Girls verse Boys TIGS team challenge’, I am excited to declare the Girls were the winners with the lowest position cumulative points! I would also like to commend all Year 6 competitors on your fine leadership in assisting the younger age groups warm-up and prepare for their race.
A special congratulations to the students who placed in the Top 10 and qualified to represent NASSA at the NSW CIS Carnival on Thursday 10 June at Eastern Creek.
