Mrs Karen Wallace

Mrs Wallace is a dedicated and dynamic Junior School educator, who is committed to setting and achieving high expectations for all students. With over 30 years of teaching experience and coordinating teams of teachers across Kindergarten to Year 6, Mrs Wallace’s key areas of expertise are educational pedagogy, curriculum development and gifted education.

Mrs Wallace has a Bachelor of Education (Primary), Certificate of Gifted Education and specialised training in the administration and implementation of the International Baccalaureate’s Primary Years Programme (PYP). She believes that education is about teaching students how to learn and empowering them with transferable skills that will hold up to a rapidly changing world.

Her current role, as PYP Coordinator and overseeing learning and teaching in the Junior School, provides a platform where rich collaborative decisions and targeted teaching practices are formulated with teachers to ensure that every student’s personal learning trajectory and potential is realised.
