Mrs Judi Nealy

Appointed as the eighth Principal of The Illawarra Grammar School in September 2018, Mrs Nealy is an advocate for authentic and cohesive learning that is data-informed and research-based. She sees the impact of strong wellbeing programmes and pastoral care as crucial to excellent learning outcomes for each student at TIGS. Mrs Nealy is committed to ensuring that TIGS graduates are empowered and confident to take their place in the world as leaders, entrepreneurs, scientists, carers, creators and thinkers – with a strong sense of self, a desire to contribute and care for others and the attributes and skills to make a difference.

Before Mrs Nealy’s appointment at TIGS, she was Head of Junior School at Macarthur Anglican School. In 2009, Mrs Nealy was successful in securing the position of Head of Junior School at TIGS and in 2016 was appointed to the dual role of Deputy Headmaster and Head of Junior School.

Mrs Nealy’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts from Macquarie University, a Diploma of Education, as well as a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. Additionally, she has an enormous amount of enthusiasm and energy but most of all, she has a passion for the children, staff, parents and the entire School community.
