Does the school offer scholarships and what is the process?

The Illawarra Grammar School offers scholarships for high achieving students across the Arts, Academic and General Excellence from Year 5 to Year 11. Scholarships are open to current TIGS students and external students and they can apply for more than one scholarship. Applicants for scholarships are required to complete a TIGS Scholarship application form and sit a test for Scholarship Entry. What about transport to and from the school?

At TIGS, we want to ensure that the School is safely accessible to all students and community members. The school has two entrances for student pick-up and drop-off. Our drop-off point for Senior School students is at the end of Powell Street and the southbound Princes Highway entrance services TIGS Prep and Junior School. To streamline pick-up and drop-off, we provide a Car Line service for students in Kindergarten to Year 6. Our staff assist children to get in and out of their vehicle safely while the driver stays in the car. The School operates a fleet of mini-buses that service the region from Austinmer to Nowra for a separate charge. Public transport including buses and trains is also available. For more information on transport options visit our Student Life page.
