Application for Enrolment
Please Note: The Application for Enrolment form requres you to use the Adobe Reader program to submit the form. It can be installed for free from the Adobe Reader website. Please ensure you have the latest version (Adobe Reader XI) installed.
You will also need to have the following files ready to send as an electronic copy:
- Student Photo (passport sized)
- Completed Application Fee Form
- Two (2) Recent School Reports
- Year 3, 5, 7 or 9 NAPLAN Report
- Copy of Student’s Birth Certificate
- Immunisation History Statement
- Student Support Documents e.g. WISC, WIAT, OT Report etc (if applicable)
- Student’s Anaphylaxis Plan and/or Asthma Management Plan (if applicable)
- One (1) reference for student (for Years 5 to 11) (if applicable)
- Copy of Student’s Passport and Visa documentation (if applicable)
- Other relevant documentation eg Court Orders (if applicable)Please complete the form below:
Please note: Submission of an Application for Enrolment Form does not guarantee acceptance of enrolment but does place the student’s name and details on our Register of Enrolments.
Before a place is offered, we will invite you and your child to attend an enrolment interview. Interviews are generally held in Term 2 and 3 of the year preceding entry by the Director of Enrolments (Mrs Moira Jefferson)
Preparatory Interviews include a visit to The Piper Centre.
The interview is an opportunity to discuss the school program and to allow parents and students to raise any questions.
Please note: Not all students who are interviewed will be offered a place.
Offer of Placement
Subject to the outcome of the interview and availability of placements, a letter offering a placement will be mailed to the parents/guardians.
Accepting/Declining the Placement
To accept your child’s placement at the School, you will be required to sign and return the Acceptance of Offer together with the non-refundable Enrolment Fee of $1750.00 within 21 days (or as stated in the letter of offer).
Enrolment Fee: is a non-refundable fee which is required to be paid to demonstrate the firm intention of parent/guardians to take up a place held for their child for commencement on a nominated date. It is security held for the enrolled child, as the School has to incur expenditure for both physical and human resources in preparation for the new school year.
To decline your child’s placement at the School, a written letter declining the position is required within 21 days or earlier.
Receipt of Acceptance and Commencement
Upon receipt of the signed Acceptance of Offer and payment of the Enrolment Fee, your child will be deemed enrolled.
Welcome to The Illawarra Grammar School: Enrolment Package and Orientation
At the appropriate time, during the term prior to commencement, parents will be notified of commencement dates, orientation days and any other pertinent information and details which will assist your child’s transition into The Illawarra Grammar School.
Please note: It is important to ensure that you assist us by advising the School of any changes in your address or other contact details, as your child may be removed from the Register of Enrolments if mail is returned without any new address details being provided.
